Recently, scientists conducted a study to find out why many people sympathize with villains, and came to the conclusion that they recognize some of their traits in them. For example, Petyr Baelish’s cunning or Moriarty’s high intelligence. And watching this character in a movie gives the viewer the opportunity to try on the role of the villain and see what happens.
