During the filming of the famous scene below deck, when Jack and rose are trying to get out of the flooded area to the top, Kate Winslet’s coat got stuck, caught on the gate. The actress found herself under an oncoming wave and began to suffocate. Surprisingly, the film crew was inactive. Later, the film’s Director, James Cameron, admitted that the situation was under control and they just let Kate get a little nervous, so that she better got used to the role.
