The woman claims that she may be among the “disappeared ” informants. Yan explained that, in her opinion, the Chinese authorities knew about the new coronavirus long before they announced it. She also explained that her managers, known as some of the leading experts in the field, ignored her research at the beginning of the pandemic, which she believed could have saved lives.
