US infectious disease specialist predicts an increase in the coronavirus pandemic

Anthony Fauci, chief expert of the US Coronavirus Control working group, said in an interview with the Italian Corriere Della Sera that the world is at the initial stage of the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We are seeing major outbreaks in Brazil, South Africa and now in Asia, so we are still at the beginning of a global pandemic that is very likely to intensify before it weakens,” the infectious disease specialist said.
